Shimsha falls

This image shows shimsha falls created by shimsha river located near one of our power stations called Shimsha power station in Mallavalli taluk of Mondya district in Karnataka. The falls is full during June to OCT and many wild animals mainly elephants are spotted near the falls. This is a lifeline to fauna in the area.

Lovely waterfall. The surrounding mountains give a good idea of the place. You could have moved the camera up to avoid the out of focus corner on the bottom right. Some more space on the top to include the top of the mountains would have enhanced the composition further.

For Landscape it is better to use a narrower aperture like f8,f10 or higher depending on the ISO and shutter speed. In this case you could have used ISO 200 with a narrower aperture. Try to avoid using ISO 800 as much as possible, only in very low light conditions it would be necessary. Thanks for sharing the information about the place. Look forward to more.

I agree with Mrudul's comments. ISO 800 will give more noise ie. more grains in the image. When the light passes through the lens and falls on the photosites of the sensor, a signal is generated. Higher ISO means basically the signal is amplified. As you know the higher is the amplification, the higher is the noise. The same is also the case with cameras. So you can see that the ISO 800 and higher images doesn't look as good as the lower ISO images in terms of colour and grains.

A narrow aperture like f8, f11, f16 etc will result in higher depth of field ie. more of the area would be in focus. So the trees and waterfall etc will be more in focus with a narrow aperture.
