Good that you got to see this one. Though common, but not as common as other birds. If the bird is small in frame, then better to increase the amount of positive exposure you are dialing in from +1/3 to +2/3. If time permits, then you can have a look at the histogram as well.

Normally they perch on the top branches. However, a longer angle, if possible, would have strengthened the image. However, don't try to climb the tree and break your leg. Be safe. You can get pictures later.

Increasing the brightness will be better.

Nice sighting. The eye contact is good. I liked the patterns created by the tree, it adds to the composition. Agree about the +ve exposure. Nicely photographed. I am yet to photograph this bird :(. Thanks for sharing.
