A vertical composition would have worked well here. The plumage looks nice. Wish it was facing away from you, so you could have got maximum eye contact. Thanks for sharing.

I agree that a slight head turn would have been good. That would have made it easier for the entire beak to be within the depth of field. If -1/3 EV was used then it would have been better to do -2/3 EV here as that would have contained the whites better. Thanks for sharing.
