Quite a nice found. But it seems to me that bird is not in focus rather camera has focused on little right side of bird and a bit back.

Thanks for your comment Atindra. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened (given that I am just a learner) but I don't think it happened. :) Will get back home in the evening and check it out precisely from the original file and let you know. Surfing from work now. By the way, the bird is a very common find for those who visit CKBS near Calcutta and it's absolutely fearless that you can approach really close.

Hi Sudipto,

I was unable to view the exif details, can you please post the aperture, shutter speed and ISO details, so it will help to comment on the photograph.
I think while focussing using AF, due to slight moment the AF point would have focussed on a branch.Did you shoot it hand held or you were using a tripod or monopod?
