Spotted this spider on the dried bed of the Malharsagar waterbody.
It generally would stay insid ethe cracks of the dried bed. Capturing the frame was very difficult as it around 9-10 in the morning and it had warmed up properly, so would run from one crack to the other. After almost 20mins and several failed attempts could capture this frame.
It had a strange shaped back, but a close observation(in this pic) it seems to be like its babies its carrying on its back. I dont know if it is for real or it has such strange shaped back.
Can anyone help me in identifying the species of the spider?

A different species documented. There is something definitely on its back. Wish the light was better. It is good that you patiently waited to photograph him. Experts do help with the id. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pic.. Prajwal.. I think this is wolf spider spices. Wolf spiders are unique among their kind owing to their method of infant care. Immediately after the young spider lings have hatched, they climb up their mother's legs and crowd onto her back in a wriggling mass of juvenile spiderishness..
U can more information on wolf spider.. on net.try it. (Spiderzrule (http://www.spiderzrule.com/wolf.htm))

Prajwal, I agree with Bhavya. It looks like a Wolf Spider carrying spiderlings. You can verify the id here- Southindianspiders.org - Spiders of South India (http://www.southindianspiders.org/south-indian-spiders.htm)
Wish the light was better and the DoF was higher. However, it is good that you could grab at least a record shot.

Good to see this behaviour. I am happy that you documented it. I am sure you will have better luck in terms of light the next time.

Cheers,
