Sighted this male leopard on 21st May'11 (Saturday) @ 5pm at Bandipur, due to some avoidable reasons we left late for the evening safari, that worked in our favor. Thanks to Basavanna of JLR for spotting this beauty. There were so many jeeps that moved on the same road & went unnoticed of this leopard resting on the tree.

I believe that this leopard made a Gaur calf kill that couldn't carry up the tree, but it is quite evident looking at the blood stains on the face and whiskers that it just had a good meal. This sighting lasted for 5-6 mins and I managed to make few reasonable images. At about 5:45pm we drove back again to the same location and believe me this leopard was on the tree this time much closer to the game track. However he jumped down as soon as he saw our jeep approaching.

Coincidentally I had sighted the same leopard even last month for good 20 mins.

I am JEALOUS! Just kidding..it's actually nice to see you have quite a lot of leopard sightings off late. Wish you many more:)

The eye contact is very good..the composition seems alright, but a little more greens all around would have improved the overall feel. However, like in this image, close-up shots hve their charm and impact:) I wonder what a little more brightness will do to this image....

Tfs

Nice image. I like the pose. A bit brighter would be even better. Looks like it had a feast before you clicked. Two leopard sightings in two safaris is great. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Nice pose. I liked the composition. The two branches frame the image nicely. The eye contact is great. Good details. I liked the way it is resting its paws on the tree. Look forward to more in the series. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice frame. Nice composition, thanks in part to the leopard's pose :). A very intimate shot. Agree that a little more brightness would look good.
TFS.
