Stags fighting | record shot

We had seen this in bandipur when I went there inthe first week of this month. The fight lasted a good 5-6 min but the low light, thick undergrowth combined with their fast movements ensured that I didn't get a good image!

Guess the stags were fighting it out to decide who gets to lead the group and in turn get a chance to mate with the female in season!

Any detailed insight into this behavior will be welcome:)

The action is nice. Agree the low light and the vegetation make it quite difficult to photograph. Maybe, moving the gypsy a bit ahead (more to the left if possible) would have helped to get a better view. The habitat is nice. Thanks for sharing.
