Were you handholding? These birds remain still for a long time. You can try placing the camera on a tripod or other support and try a lower shutter speed as well. However, if the crop is large, then you would need the camera to be very stable.

The plumage looks good. However, the surroundings weren't very helping in terms of allowing a better composition. Agree with Sabyasachi..tfs

Agree with the above comments. Maybe adding the space from the top to the bottom to include more of the reflection would have been good. Thanks for sharing.
