HI All,

Did a 4 day trip to Gir national park last week. Trip was my first one to Gir and it turned out to be very fruitful. This was taken using 7D + 500/f4+1.4x @ f5.6 iso 800 handheld. Hope you will like it.

Nice portrait. The eye contact and details are good. Did you try any wider composition? Look forward to more in the series. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image. I would love to see some more space in the direction the cub is looking. Thanks for sharing.

HI Guys thanks for looking. Yeah but this is what I could manage with 500+1.4x. Its a FF shot. I somehow managed to get full face without chopping off anything. I do have some images made by 70-200, will share them soon.

Nice one Amit..the details on this one look great:) This composition would have worked to its fullest if the lion was looking straight towards you!

Lovely portrait Amit, the details have come out very well. The eye contact is nice. I am fine with this composition as the intention is a portrait. For a handheld this is an amazing shot, seems you have strong arms:)

I was talking with an ex-Ranji trophy fast bowler to give us some tips on exercises. May be Amit can give tips as well. :001_smile:

Nope I am only a normal built guy. But I do handhold 500 most of the time. And of course I always carry pain relief spray :001_cool:
