ANother kingfisher clicked at the same spot...this one though was hyperactive and just flew from one branch to other, making it almost impossible to get a clear snap. Finally managed this shot when it was about to fly off...
Sorry for the EXIF as the original file is downloaded in my Laptop and its not booting...shall update asap...

Nice take-off pose captured. You would need very high shutter speed to get this image sharp. It will be quite difficult to get such high shutter speed in a compact camera. You did well in capturing the right moment. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with previous comments. I like the wing stretch. Wish you had got this with frontal lighting. A DSLR and a long telephoto lens would have been a great help in capturing this. Thanks for sharing.
