From the recent trip to Bandipur, this is a record shot. For some reason this one got completely under-exposed:sad:

Camera Model Canon EOS 7D, 500mm
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/1000
Av( Aperture Value ) 7.1
ISO 640
EC - 0.3
Focal length 500mm
Cropped for Vertical compo

Tough to fit the entire leopard in the frame. Personally, I would have composed with the head and forequarters, and more of the environment near the lower half of the frame. (I suppose you didn't have much time to compose the shot).
Overall a good record shot. TFS.

Sad that it got underexposed. Nice sighting. I guess it had large sky portion as it is a horizontally composed shot. Also, there is a -1/3 EC in the shot. The whiskers look large and nice. :) Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Nice pose and eye contact. I agree with the above suggestions. I think you forgot to change the exposure (EV -0.3). Thanks for sharing.

Had this been exposed properly, it would have been a cracker! But these slight mistakes are a part and parcel of the photography experience...I am sure more such oppurtunities will keep coming your way- the kind of regular visitor you are to bandipur:)

Hi Praveen,

Nice frame. I dont think opening shadows in PS would be a big problem here. Love the overall frame.
