This Tigress needs no introduction and she is by far the most popular at Bandipur. I photographed this on 15th Jan' 2011

The PP on this one looks different...did you fill the blacks?

- Nice elusive moment captured. More space given in the direction the tigress is moving adds to the viewer's curiosity.

Was she targeting a prey?

The eye contact potrays the amount of concentration involved.
Capturing the front paw in the frame would have shown how carefully each move is made.

Nice pose captured. Some more space at the bottom would be good. Any post processing on the blacks? Thanks for sharing.

In India, this kind of processing is used by a lot of people in photosharing sites. The result is background distractions get darkened.

The best shot that I have seen with a black background was created by Miguel Lasa. It was the 2008 Creative Visions of Nature category winner in the BBC Wildlife photographer of the year competition. Thanks guys for the comments. I followed the normal PP except that I intentionally underexposed the image as it had good spot light on the subject.
