A lower angle would have been good. Did you blur the bird?

Nice one Bhargava, the corn kernel in his beak is a bonus. The best way to shoot such a situation is to fall flat on the ground. I know it may not be always possible to do it, but just that we keep it in mind in future. The details have come out fine.

I haven't blurred the bird at all. Also, a lower angle was not an option as I was shooting from the car and the bird would have flown off if I opened the door.
Thanks for the comments:)

The eye contact is nice. Wish the bird was more parallel to the sensor, to get it more in focus. Why +0.7 EV? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul. Ev +0.7 because in the bright sunlight there was no way I could guage the exposure looking at the pic..so I solely went by "shooting to the right" principle looking at the histogram:)
