Tiger on misty morning at Bandipur#3

This was shot on 6th March'2011 @ 7:15am in Bandipur, we drove on the Bettada Katte route and it was mist all around when we spotted this huge male.

This was a surprise sighting and hence very exciting. I still feel sad for Basavanna, who had come on safari after quite long and because you and Kiran decided to go on Bettadakatte, had to skip the route and try mangla dam instead!

These were tricky conditions for imaging and keeping that in mind, this image has come out well. However, I feel that there is more space on the right side than is required. ISO 1600....not needed but acceptable given that all of us had started off at that ISO in fear of not getting any usable images from the week's only tiger sighting:) The raised hind paw makes this one interesting..

Nice scene. Watching a tiger moving silently in the forest is always an exciting experience. The soft pad on the feet is visible here.
