It is a Male Greater Flameback Woodpecker (Chrysocolaptes Lucidus).It has a scarlet rump and a black tail.I think it is NOT a Black-Rumped Flameback Woodpecker (Dinopium Benghalense). Correct me if I am Wrong. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

The overall colour looks a bit more yellow. Try reducing the white balance a bit. Carefully check the whites. Interesting shape of the tree trunk.

Nice composition.Difficult to photograph this bird.Agree with Sabyasachi about the white balance.TFS

Nice frame. Have you flipped the image from horizontal to vertical?

No Bibhav..I haven't rotated the image. In fact, that is precisely the reason I posted this image- the perch that looks unique:)
