Nice that you managed eye contact even with so much clutter around. However, the same clutter is very distracting and the attention hardly goes on the bird....the fact that the tail is not visible fully doesn't help much. This surely isn't your class doctor.

It is a good thing that you could focus through the vegetation. The eye contact is good. I agree that it would have been better if the tail would have been fully visible. The out of focus branch at the top and the perch form a kind of parallel line. May look better in the black and white version. Thanks for sharing.
