Lovely eye contact and head turn. Wish you had got it on a natural perch. Good shot nevertheless. Yes, it is an Indian Roller (also called the Blue Jay, though that name is used for different species in other parts of the world).

Nice head turn and eye contact. Good details. The colours look nice. Agree about the perch. A slight less space on the right would be good. Thanks for sharing.

I remember during my film days I used to stalk these birds with a 300mm lens in bharatpur to get a full frame image. The brilliant colour always attracts people. I agree that a natural perch would have been great. Unfortunately, there has been so much of construction in the ECR (East Coast Road) that these poor things can't even find a tree. :-(
