A novel attempt this. Nice clean BG and excellent details. However, I have a feeling that the bird appears like thrown at the corner of the frame(?).

Nice details and background. I would have liked to include some more of the bird. Thanks for sharing. When was this photographed?

Hi Rajan,
This was shot with the Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS USM + EF 1.4x II Extender

Hi Bhargava,
The throwing away to the corner was intentional. I spent some 10-15 mins with this guy, so was able to try out different compositions. I liked the clean background which I could get so experimented with various placements of the bird in the frame.

Hi Mrudul,
I have a few images with more of the bird but I felt that it somehow gave the impression of an abrupt cut off of the legs etc. So I preferred a 'Mugshot' inclusion of the body.

It would have been even better if the light were from the right, so that the shadow would not have fallen on the eye. The background looks good. I agree that we should try to do something different to get a unique perspective. Though it won't be great all the time, however one should try. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi
