The habitat displayed looks nice. Focussing on the sambar would be difficult through the dense vegetation in the foreground. You have captured the environment nicely. When was this photographed? Thanks for sharing.

Lovely display of the habitat. The greens look nice, and the light shade of the Sambar's coat makes it stand out. However, I would have preferred the Sambar placed a little lower down, at the upper right or left rule-of-thirds position. The light looks pretty bad. Overall a very good attempt, in spite of the shortcomings I really like this image as an environment portrait.
TFS, look forward to more such images.

Sankar,
I agree with the previous comments. Pointing the camera a bit upwards would have ensured the Sambar a bit lower. Unfortunately, the light seems to be low. Else, I would have suggested you to use a narrow aperture like f8 or above to get more depth of field. Thanks for sharing.
