Sarus Crane.
This was photographed near Gwalior in May 2011.The bird suddenly took off ,did n't get time to adjust the settings for a flight shot.This is a full frame image.

Thanks for your comment.I saw four of them together.Two seemed to be juvenile.I was trying to get as much close to them as possible,when suddenly they could sense my presence,took off one by one :).Luckily I got few good shots in flight,although setting were not for flight shot.Thanks

Nice flight pose. The eye contact and the details look good. A slight more space on the top would have enhanced the image further. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.
