Ptocasius(?) Jumping Spider

This was shot in Pay Master Park, Matheran, just after the start of the monsoon. About 1cm long. This spider had a gorgeous iridescent green colour on its carapace and abdomen, unfortunately it has not been reproduced effectively due to the use of flash here :(. Tried a few images without the flash and using wider apertures, but the light was too low and it started raining a few moments later.
Not sure of the ID, I have been told it is probably Ptocasius sp. due to the round, elevated cephalothorax, will get back with a confirmed ID if possible.

Cropped ~25% from the bottom and right. Increased the brightness slightly. I think there is a small bit of noise in the BG, but refrained from using the NR tool to correct that... do you find the noise too distracting? No sharpening done.

Nice eye contact. The details are good. I am fine with the noise in the background (because of the high ISO), I am not very keen on the use of NR as that might affect the details. You have captured it nicely in the low light conditions. Is it from the same family of Jumping Spiders you posted earlier? Thanks for sharing the information. Look forward to more.

Thanks for the feedback, Mrudul. It is from the family Salticidae, which comprises all jumping spiders. Ptocasius is the probable genus, as I have mentioned. Might be quite difficult to identify the species, it appears these spiders are not very well described.

I am fine with the noise. The white patch behind the spider is a minor distraction. I would like you to use a monopod if not a tripod and do some more experimentations. I guess you have to live with the low light as it rains or drizzles all the time in the rain season. Thanks for sharing.
