Fantastic capture Praveen. Great to see the standing pose. What was it trying to look at in the standing pose?

I've never seen it like this. The pose displays curiosity of the animal. Well done Praveen sir.

Nice you could get a standing pose and that too in the open. Good eye contact. Is this full frame? The hint of the tail is a bit distracting, maybe a little less space in the left would be good. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pose. Often they stand on the ground or even climb on a mound to see. Good that you captured it in this pose. I guess the light was low. Slightly less space on the right to eliminate that partly visible dead white leaf (?) would have been great. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Thanks guys for the comments.

Atul Sinai - When we spotted this guy he was busy feeding on insects and simultaneously was keeping a watch on us. As he kept moving away from us, we still remained unmoved and suddenly from a distance he stood tall to check our presence:) & I clicked this image. These were wonderful moments of the mongoose that is quite fresh in my mind.
