Made this image in bandavgarh in April this year. Light was very low and we were movie towards the gate in the evening. Suddenly She appears in front of our vehicle walking towards us. She looked frail and weak , Guess hungry .

Canon 7D 100-400
f/5.6 1/100 ISO 2500 390mm Full frame.

Basic adjustment in CS5

Looking fwd to some critique.

It is unfortunate that you saw her in very low light. I think a 70-200 f2.8 IS lens would have been great. In this case you were clicking against the light. Else, it would have been great. Thanks for sharing.

Ah..that injury to the eye looks awful. I personally love this image..may be a bit more foreground space would have bettered the feel.

Nice walking pose. Agree more space in the foreground would be good. I heard a lot about this tigress, but didn't get a chance to photograph her this time :(. I didn't know her left eye was injured. You have any idea when and how this happened? Was this in her fight with the other female? Thanks for sharing.

The injury is due to the fight with the siddhababa female, who due to her lame leg finally died while fighting with her.
