It would have been nice if both the birds were turned towards the left. Two animals or birds doing the same thing or striking similar pose lends repetitiveness and makes for visual interest.

Wildlife images work well when the animal or bird is moving into the frame and for stationary subjects they shouldn't be looking away ie back turned towards us. These are rule of thumb and can at times be broken depending upon the situation.
