Taken today in the afternoon with Can EOS 7D, EF 100-400, AV mode, aperture F-11.0, 1/640, ISO 1250, Auto WB.

Nice perch and eye contact. Any particular reason for using f11? A wider aperture like f6.3 would have sufficed, and that would have also helped to use a lower ISO and reduce the noise. There is some detail loss, how big crop is this? Thanks for sharing.

Agree with Mrudul. Something like f6.3 or 7.1 would have given decent details and a creamier BG. Which mode did you shoot in- Av? Also, do you resize the image first and then process or process first and finally resize? If you follow the latter, there is bound to be loss of details. However, in this case, I am not sure if that is the reason for some detail loss.

All in all, nice perch and eye contact. I like the BG too.

Ashok,

If one uses lightroom, then it becomes easier to process from RAW, resize etc at one go. Which software are you using?
