Will need help on the ID. This guy was arnd 2cm in length.
Tried out my new tripod with this shot for macros.
This was taken in Bondla Sanctuary.
Comments and Critiques welcome.

The colours are nice. Tough one to click in low light. It is positioned in an arc shape, so difficult to get the entire body within the depth of field. Since you tried flash and tripod, did you also try clicking an image with an even narrow aperture? Ofcourse, if it is windy, then it would be a problem. ISO wise, you were at an edge as ISO 1600 would have been a bit too much. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot and well ,.. you get whole body in focus with Dof.. There is lot of species of caterpillar..
and some are look very alike.. I am thinking this one is Monarch caterpillar.. not perfect.

Nicely composed. Tough to get the whole caterpillar within the DoF. Going below 1/30 would have been a bit risky I think. No clue about the ID, sorry (I'm not very good at butterflies), but I don't think Monarchs are found in India, at least nowhere in the region where you shot this.
