This guy likes lantana, I have seen him sniffing the lantana on several occasions. I am aware he keeps checking his territory during the process. Also it's high time the forest authorities take some action on the excessive growth of lantana. One can notice that their growth is faster and as tall as the trees.

Unfortunate that lantana is growing unrestrained. Lantana has to be uprooted including the roots and burnt and this process has to be continued for few years till the native vegetation cover comes up. I see no effort in uprooting lantana in bandipur but road building, creation of unnecessary waterholes etc continues.

Good image. Agree with Sabyasachi. Lantanna growth in bandipur is now almost out of control :(
