Kept the noise as I didn't want to risk losing details, given that the details are not satisfactory even as is. Shot in bandipur late evening.
A ISO 1600 image at 1/40sec, handheld. EV +0.7, f5.6

Lovely image in low light. Nice dusky feel. Would moving the bird slightly more to the left make it better? Not sure, but you may want to try. But that might again mean a closer crop and I am not sure that would be good.

Thanks Deepak. I usually talk in terms of what we see on the screen, but off late I've seen people talk in terms of the bird's view, so thought to confirm it :)

Deepak says moving the bird to the left..What he actually means is moving your camera to the right/swing your camera to the right or move yourself to a step to the right.

While cropping during post processing this thought comes up that you move your subject in the frame. In photography - for some it might be just play of words, but nevertheless it is an important thought process - one doesn't move the bird/animal. One re positions himself/herself. When we close our eyes and think, then we realise as human beings we are too small in front of nature. Though we have been spoiling/manipulating and exploiting it.

What you say will only make sure that there is even more space to the right (as WE see it)..I thought Deepak wanted me to have lesser space in the right side!

Lovely perch and eye contact. You got it nicely in such low light. I am fine with the noise, as the light was low and it is not that disturbing. Often we try to reduce the noise and lose the details. The vertical composition looks nice. Thanks for sharing.

Bharagava, I think what Sabyasachi, Deepak or you are saying the same thing i.e having less space on right of the frame.

For me this image is perfect. I love the background - blurred trees at the back - adds a nice mood to the image. With a blank bg, this image would have only half the punch!

You should try a b&w and think about framing this.

I think there is a slight blue cast which can be removed easily. Taking a color sample from the white streaks on the chest shows a higher value for blue.
