Forsaken Tiger Kingdom of Koraput

The landscape that I've captured in this picture used to be part of a huge tiger habitat that once sprawled across three administrative districts.(Koraput,Kalahandi and Phulbani). Though the tigers are gone, these hills, situated in Laxmipur and Kashipur blocks of Koraput and Raygada districts respectively, never fail to capture the imagination of the many train travellers who traverse this hill range on their way from Raygada to Koraput.

Lovely landscape. The greenery and the mountains in the background look nice. I feel a slight crop from the bottom to remove the hint of the road would have been good. Is there a blue tint to the image? Do post your equipment details. Also it would be good if you mention the EXIF details like Aperture, ISO and shutter speed details so that will help in commenting better. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

This image is nostalgic. Tigers used to block the road for hours together. People used to fear moving on motorcycles. Sad that the dense jungles have vanished.

Beautiful Landscape, it soothens our Nerves.If possible,kindly post the Original Image.I visited Simlipal T.R in Orissa long back in April,1980 when Shri RoyChowdhury was Field Director and Famous Khairi was being brought up by his family.Now Sunabeda is only other forest in Orissa approved,In Principle,by NTCA for declaring it as a Tiger Reserve.Sincerely hope Simlipal will regain its past glory and Sunabeda will be declared as T.R at the earliest.The State, in my view,is the worst sufferer as far as Wild Life is concerned because of its Mineral Reserves! ADDITION:
I missed one line in my post dated 28.08.2011.
SATKOSIA(George)-BAISIPALLI Sanctuary had already been declared as a TIger Reserve(within existing 39 TRs).So Orissa has now 2 TRs,other being grand old SIMLIPAL.
Sunabeda has ,in principle, been approved by NTCA.Formalities are yet to be completed.

UPDATE:
In the Morning I mentioned that Orissa has 2 Tiger Reserves out of 39 TRs in the country.Happy to note from Govt. of India,Press Information Bureau, Notification dated 29.08.2011 that Biligiri-Ranganatha Temple Sanctuary (in Karnataka) has been notified as a Tiger Reserve(BRT).
