This image was photographed in Bandhavgarh National Park. This tiger was sleeping in the early morning when we reached there. He is one of the Mirchahani brothers. He yawned and I knew that he will get up and leave.

Light was pretty low.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, ISO 200, EF 2xII, f5.6, 1/60 sec.

Look forward to your comments.

Cheers,

Saby.. lovely moment you have captured. Superb image
I am not sure how far was this, did you had chance to move closer? I feel there is too much of space at top portion.
Also I think exposure could have -1.

Good behavioural photograph.I liked the composition, but a bit of cropping from the top I think will get more focus on the tiger.

The morning light has nicely lit the tiger face, the features are sharp and each hair of the whisker can be seen too :)

Lovely photograph.Look forward to more..

Sabyasachi,

I like the yawn, the sight of tiger canines is always welcome. Agree about the crop. Having said that, an image like this always gives an editor plenty of room to add some text to the image.
