Hi,

Please critique this image. Shot in Pune along the coast of the river. Went for a tight crop as the background was nasty.

I think this one is not fully matured, may be 2.5 years old.

Thanks guys. Sabyasachi, I was hiding in the bushes along the coast. Sat there for over an hour observing these birds. There was another one fully grown night heron there. This one was on one leg all the time while the other was resting on both the legs. Sadly, the river was flooded a week back so all the trash and plastics were collected on the branches. The baya weavers nest (shared previously) was also taken away by the floods, he did manage to complete it though before the floods.

Nice details.Like the pose.Other than conserving heat and saving energy herons and some other water birds stand on one leg as it helps them hunt better.
