Hi,

This one is also from the same photo shoot where I ended up spending an hour with 2 black crowned night herons. Loved the way they maintained there focus.

This was shot in the morning along the coast of river Mula in Pune. The river was flooded just a week before.

Are there any industries dumping their wastes there? Our rivers are increasingly being turned into gutters due to industrial effluents and municipal waste disposal. Sand mining is another problem. If I remember right, the flood plains of this river has been encroached upon.

Thanks Shaktipada.

Sabyasachi, not sure about industrial effluents being dumped into it, but the river is severely affected by municipal and sewage waste disposal and is not far away from being called a gutter at certain places.

The raised foot looks nice. Good eye contact. Wish the light was from behind you.
I agree with Atul, the drainage water and after ganesh visarjan the idols with lot of decoration material is dumped into the river. So after the water resides, you can see plastics, garbage and all kind of waste left behind on the bushes. Surely a very sad state of rivers flowing through cities. Thanks for sharing.

Bhargava, I used manual focus for this one. Had focused the eye.
