Great to see an image from 1979. Nicely framed image with curved branches. I can visualise the white pebbles and the colours of the pristine forests. I dream to see a tiger walking on the river bed in Manas. I am not sure how is the situation now after the insurgency has subsided. Thanks a lot for taking us down memory lane.

Cheers,

Beautiful landscape. The branches on the top frame the image nicely. It would have been truly a amazing experience for you back then, with the wilderness areas untouched. I am yet to visit Manas :(. I hope it happens soon. Thanks for sharing this amazing image. Look forward to more.

Sir,
An amazing landscape. Thanks for sharing this. Manas is reportedly now in a great despair - tigers are vanishing, elephants are not to be seen and rhinos are perishing - this is all the news we keep getting from Manas. I suppose that it would have been great during 1979 when Kailash Sankhala was the project tiger director and Sanjay Deb Roy was the FD.
