Beautiful bird. It would have been even better if the head turn was a little lesser and you got a side profile of the head and eye. Did you try a vertical?

It is good that the light is falling on the head and the red eye looks nice.

There appears to be some subject movement here. Did the bird turn its head when you clciked?

Moving to the right would have been better, as you would have avoided the bright red (what is it?) in the background. Reducing the contrast slightly as well as saturation a bit will enhance the image. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for advice....the bird was moving fast..... the red ball is a wild fruit....
