Blue Jay i think

Hi All,

I am in the process of going through my photographs and sorting out those for editing and keeping and those for getting rid of.

Below is a picture of a bird i took at Pench National Park a few years ago.

I think it is a Blue Jay, but i am not too sure.

Can anyone help me out with the identification?

Yes. This is a blue jay which is now called Indian roller. Did you get to sight tigers in Pench?

Yes i saw a Tiger on this particular trip, after 5 years of trying.

Hi Martin,
I agree with Bhargava. Its scientific name is Corasias benghalensis.

The sky colour has become deep blue. So reducing the saturation a bit with enhance the image. Thanks for sharing.

It is a very colourful bird. Wish the angle was less steep and it was closer. A off-centered composition would be good. Thanks for sharing.
