This image was shot in early September. I hope you guys would like it. Please pass on your comments and critiques.

Body: Canon 7D
Lens: 100-400mm
Shutter Speed: 1/1250s
Aperture: 9 (in aperture mode)
Exposure compensation: -1/3
ISO: 400
Focal length: 375mm

After joining this site, now I can clearly make out what mistakes I used to do, for example today I would have kept the shutter speed between 350 to 400 and would exposed by 2 stops towards to positive side which would have avoided me to expose this image by 3 stops during PP.

Nice image. It would have been even better if the camera was on ground level. Since the bird is parallel to the camera, a lower aperture would have been fine and it would have given a nicely diffused background. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Nice eye contact. The catch light looks good. I would have liked some more space all around. With 100-400 mm lens you have that advantage to compose with different focal lengths, you can try to include more space. Agree about the lower angle. Thanks for sharing.
