Spotted Dove

I was forced to go for a vertical and tight crop while keeping the bird at center to avoid the twig in my previous post "http://www.indiawilds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7803". This was a handheld (but did take support of car window frame) shot using a Canon 7D with 100-400mm lens. ISO 100, 1/200s, F 11 in aperture mode at 400mm.

This is a much better image. The eye contact is good. Wish you were closer, so that there would have been more details on the body. I agree with Mrudul's comments regarding the converging branches and background. Thanks for sharing.

Since it is a large crop, I think you could have avoided the twig even if you placed the bird slightlymore to the left, thereby reducing the negative space. The eye has come out well and the bird is cute.
