Tawny - Behind the bars!!!

This one was being harassed by Black Kite and after evading the kites it came down and was there behind the high grass for a while before taking off. And while coming down it almost hunted down an Indian Roller. It was a memorable experience for me. I could manage to shoot only one image and this is my first image of this bird.

Nice you got the eye in clear. I would have liked some more space all around. In Haseargatta, you can see lot of kites these days, and they try to attack other birds and snatch if it has any prey. Nice behavior captured. Thanks for sharing.

Wish you were closer so that more details would have been there in the bird. I have photographed this lovely bird among the reeds, however, it had never occurred to me about the jail analogy. May be a time will come when they will only be seen behind bars. Sad that we are causing irreversible changes..
