Wish it was facing towards you. You could have tried to place the tree more to the right of the frame as presently it is dividing the image. Did you get any images with more eye contact? Thanks for sharing.

The white balance needs to be tweaked a bit. I think a front view would have been better. You may try to pull up the shadows.
