I am not a big fan of bird in the wire. I would prefer a natural perch. The heavy crop ie. greater distance of the subject and f9 has helped in giving you a greater depth of field. However, the head doesn't appear to be in critical focus. Thanks for sharing.

I have seen them perched on wires lot of times, maybe due to less number of trees around, they are forced to perch on wires. Wish the horizontal bar was not present in the foreground. If possible you could have tried to go a little further and photograph from the other side. Seems it saw some prey below. Thanks for sharing.
