My longlens was in its longlens case besides me. My 70-200 f2.8 L IS II USM lens was mated with the EF 2xII TC on the Mark IV camera.

I am posting the actual grabshot as well as a crop (vertical from horizontal capture) to show what should have been better.

The dead branch of the tree was not to my liking.
Canon EF 70-200 f2.8 L IS II USM, EF 2xII TC, ISO 200, 1/200, f6.3, full frame image, handheld.

I could have created a vertical composition, though with the 400mm focal length, the bird would have appeared much smaller in the frame. Posting a cropped version - vertical cropped from horizontal.

Agree that the dead branch is not looking good. Also the underpart of the bird appears bit dark to me.Positive EC after pumping up the ISO would have been better. But that would have caused the white supercillium to be blown up.Difficult situation for photography :).Thanks for sharing.

Agree the vertical looks good. The eye contact is nice. The catch light looks good. The horizontal composition gives a nice feel of its habitat. Good details. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.
