Its nice that you got it with a catch. Good eye contact. Reducing the sharpening would be good, as that reduces the details. Thanks for sharing.

Lowering the contrast would be good. Also, lowering the colour temperature will look good. The dynamic range of the digital sensor used in the camera is less. So better to compose with uniform lighting areas ie. if you have very bright light and dark areas together in the image, then the sensor will not be able to handle it. So better to try to compose with uniform tonalities.
