Nice that you got it with the beak open and some fruit (?) inside. A higher shutter speed would have been better and also I would have liked to see the entire bird included in the frame.

Agree with Bhargava, the fruit in the beak adds to the composition. A horizontal composition here would have helped to get the bird in full. Also check the AF point, it seems it was locked on the plant. A higher shutter speed would have helped to freeze the wings. Thanks for sharing.

Nice moment captured. Agree with the comments made. In action shots one needs to be very quick, it is always helpful to have a bit loose composition to make sure you get the full bird in the frame. TFS

Good attempt. What was the focal length?
The eye contact is fine. One stop higher shutter speed would have been much better. Thanks for sharing.
