An Indian Jackal shot in Pench earlier this month.
canon 60D, canon 100-400 L IS USM
f6.3, 1/100sec, ISO 400, EV +1, 400mm, cropped, evaluative metering.

Nice stare. The composition is fine. There was one more jackal behind him? Did you get to photograph both of them? How long was the sighting?

Nice piercing look. Were they on a raised ground?
I somehow love the jackals. Love their spirit. Once they were numerous. I remember watching them on the outskirts of villages. It took me some time to get used to photographing jackals in forests. The way I can't imagine photographing kingfishers in a forest, as I have seen and photographed them in the backyard.

Nice habitat photo.Well composed,colour looks natural.
The penetrating eyes asking us-
"You enjoyed our evening chorus in your childhood but took away our lives when you became grown-up .Appeared again in my tiny forest ! What for?"
