It is good that you used f8. The nictitating membrane is visible. Is this full frame? The part near the neck is overexposed, you can try to recover the details. Wish the angle was less steep. Thanks for sharing.

Closeups without detail doesn't look good. For better details, one needs to be close to the subject or use a longer lens. It is better to try and create environmental compositions. Thanks for sharing.
