The pose and the perch is nice. Maybe moving a bit more to the right would have been good to enhance the eye contact further. Is this a crop? Thanks for sharing.

Were you shooting from a car? If so, it might not be easy to change your position.

Car often works well as a hide, provided you don't make much movements. May be parking the vehicle near the favourite perch of the bird for a few hours will result in the bird making an appearance. So one can get an image with less amount of crop and perhaps in ideal lighting. I am still waiting for my hide to be couriered to Delhi to use it.
