Even with my longer lens, I find these fellows not easy to get full frame unless one puts in some effort. The eye towards you is in shadow. Could you approach any closer? I guess this was photographed in Hessarghatta?

I could not get any closer to it though I tried :(. Yes you are correct about the location.

Agree with the above comments. Since it is a crop, maybe you could have tried a horizontal composition, as that would have helped to show more of the habitat and also would required a lesser crop. Thanks for sharing.
