The Tusks of a Tusker......Tholpetty

We were lucky enough to have witnessed this tusker who stood there for around 2-3 minutes and retreated into the jungle.Tholpetty was overflowing with rourists during the Christmas season......

Nice tusks. The composition gets the attention on the tusks nicely. The dense vegetation shows the habitat nicely. Thanks for sharing.

This is the view that many people often see. Without the tusks the elephant can just merge in the dense vegetation. The rumbling of the stomach also alerts us about the presence of the elephant.
