lovely composition, Mital. WS is looking into the frame and the branch is also heading towards the sky. This complementing effect balanced the image :)

Mital,
You captured a nice little beauty. The open mouth is a big plus. The image needs about half a stop of extra exposure as it appears dark. It would have looked better if you could have moved a bit closer, not always an easy task.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

you are right sabyasachi but the problem to getting close is loosing detail on bird. the bird was so high sitting on top of my head :)

wish next time i coul dget some nice low level perch :)

Composition looks good, theres nothing to distract you from the bird. Shine on the wings is also great

The exposure looks fine on my monitor, I can see details in the blacks.

Its so beautiful...Just a little info on Wire-tailed swallows. They usually breed in Africa, south of Sahara & in tropical southern Asia from Indian sub-continent to South east Asia. Its mainly resident, but some of them in Pakistan & India tend to migrate south, during winters. This bird is normally found in open country near water resources & human habitation. Apparently, they are fast flyers & generally feed on insects, while Airborne.
