Short Eared Owl : LRK

Dear All,
Made a trip to the LRK to photograph the Houbara, Hoopoe Lark and the Pallid Scops Owl. Though we drew a blank on all the above, shared some time with this Short eared owl in a variety of perches. Lay down flat on the crusted soil of the rann to get an eye level perspective.

EOS 50D+ 300 f4+ 1.4x II @ f5.6, 1/320, ISO 100

I like the perspective. Is this a crop? Love their eyes. I would also have loved an image with a narrow aperture.

I had earlier thought of going to LRK this year, but due to my change of role, it had to be shelved. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely stare. The low angle has helped to the get foreground and background nicely blurred. Agree using a higher ISO for a narrower aperture would have been good. Thanks for sharing.
